Percy graduated from the University of Sydney and holds two master's degrees, one in Engineering and another in Education. He was the Head of the International Department at the School Affiliated to East China Normal University for six years. Additionally, he has over five years of experience as an Edexcel Examination Officer. Percy has more than eight years of experience in teaching international mathematics curriculum, including A-level, IB, AMC10, and AMC12. He is dedicated to employing innovative teaching methods and personalised guidance to help pupils achieve academic excellence and foster a deep interest and enthusiasm for mathematics.
Henok Fessehaye
English Teacher
Mr. Henok Fessehaye is a veteran educator with over twenty years of experience in EAL/English instruction. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Florida Atlantic University with a minor in Spanish and has worked extensively in imparting the English language to a wide array of audiences, comprising various learning needs, linguistic backgrounds, and levels of proficiency, both in the US and the UAE. He also founded and operated a highly successful American tutoring firm devoted to the tutelage of SAT/ACT students. Mr. Fessehaye’s pedagogical expertise includes all current IT applications in the fields of language and ESL instruction. He is fluent in Spanish and is also certified and proficient in all components of the SAT and ACT exams, including mathematics. Catering to a diverse range of academic disciplines and curricula, Mr. Fessehaye is committed to effective differentiated and cross-curricular instruction.
Vera Yang
University Counsellor
Ms. Yang holds a master's degree in TESOL from the University of York. She is also a certified US IACA advanced career adviser. She has been dedicated to career and university counselling for more than eight years. Before joining Hiba Nantong, Ms. Yang was the Director of University Counselling Center at a top private school in Chongqing and a university counsellor at a famous international education school in Shanghai. Besides her extensive experience, her passionate and empathetic nature wins her the trust of families and students. Ms. Yang has successfully helped students enter world-renowned universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College, LSE, UCLA, Johns Hopkins, and HKU.

Kathryn graduated from the University of Glasgow with a degree in Politics and History and also holds a teaching qualification from the University of Aberdeen, UK. She has extensive experience working with children of different ages in a number of countries. She has worked with people of all cultural backgrounds and ages and has a deep appreciation for multiculturalism.

Computer Science Teacher
Born and raised in China, Mr Shi began his career with New York City Department of Education ten years ago, where he worked as the Computer Science (CS) teacher and Technology Coordinator. As the founder of the school CS program, he created an inclusive and engaging learning environment for all pupils to explore the CS fundamentals, blockbased and text-based programming, robotics, game-design, and physical computing. Prior to that, Mr Shi attended New York University and received his master’s degree. He is now pursuing his second master’s in educational leadership.

Vincent graduated with a Master’s in Genetics from China Agricultural University and obtained the PGCE from University of Warwick in the UK. Prior to Hiba Academy Nantong, Vincent was a chemistry and biology teacher at RDFZ King’s College School and the chemistry teacher of Zhenhai High School and Nanjing Foreign Language School. Vincent believes that all children are unique and have something special that they can bring to the classroom. It is his goal to create a stimulating learning environment where each child feels valued and can grow physically, intellectually, emotionally, and socially.
Francoise Issaly
Art Teacher
Francoise Issaly holds a master’s degree in fine arts and has an extensive experience as an art instructor at the primary and secondary level, as well as college level. She has taught in Canada at the College international Marie de France, and at Université de Montreal. She was one of the founding teachers at RDFZ King’s College School in Hangzhou, where she worked for 3 years where she also held the position of Head of House and pastoral leader for grade 8 students. She was involved in the two Musicals that were produced by the school. She then taught at YWIES in Shanghai as a MS Art specialist. Francoise is also a practicing artist who has exhibited in many countries including Canada, USA, France, Germany, Thailand, Malaysia, South Korea, and China.
Elena Christodoulides
Drama and Performing Arts Teacher
Elena holds a master’s degree in Educational Technology from Moreland University in the USA and a bachelor's degree in Performing Arts from the University of Kent in London. She boasts a rich history in musicals, drama, dance, and theatre as both a performer and a director. Additionally, she has successfully operated her own performing arts school and she has been teaching pupils from the age of 3 to 70 for the past 20 years, as well as producing and directing performances. Her teaching career spans across multiple countries, including Greece, England, the UAE, Oman, and Saudi Arabia. Elena's passion lies in nurturing the talents of her pupils, earning her the endearing nickname "the magic teacher."
Carmen is originally from Malaysia. She graduated from Middlesex University in London, England, with a major in flute performance and a minor in piano. After graduating, she furthered her studies at the Zoltan Kodaly-Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, one of Hungary's most prestigious music institutions, where she received a master's degree with highest honours. She has over 5 years of experience in teaching music and piano in international schools in Malaysia. She has also conducted and directed school bands and choirs and helped pupils prepare for various musical events. She has also provided piano accompaniment to pupils for other examinations such as the ABRSM piano examinations and flute examinations.
