Hiba Academy Nantong is driven by a vision to provide high-quality education that blends the essence of both Eastern and Western education, nurturing the health and happiness of every child. This journey begins hand-in-hand with parents and students who share Hiba's aspirations.
Simultaneously, the Friends of Hiba (FoH), led by its committee, unites the entire school community—the families, staff, children and the broader community. As pupils flourish as classmates, the dedicated parents and staff rally as Friends of Hiba, devoted to fostering a collaborative environment between school and home.
FOH Committee
At the start of every school year, the FoH conducts voting to elect committee members, all of whom are self-nominated parents. The existing committee comprises an FoH chairman and four vice-chairs, each assigned specific responsibilities spanning activities, finance, promotion and secretarial tasks, and health and safety. This tightly-knit committee generously volunteers its time and effort in support of the school's mission.
Throughout the school year, the FoH committee collaborates with the entire Hiba community to orchestrate three significant annual events: the Zilang Lake charity Walk, the Hiba Winter Celebration, and the Summer Carnival. Moreover, they regularly help with activities centered around themes of education, health, and charity.
The FoH Committee takes charge of planning, organizing, implementing, and fundraising for these events. Funds collected during these activities go toward supporting the whole Hiba community, its initiatives, student academic services, and other programmes.
Through a wide array of community activities, the FoH Committee enriches campus life, infusing vibrancy into daily routines. These gatherings enable the Hiba community to enjoy delightful moments, share and uphold Hiba's values collectively, fostering a more cohesive and affectionate Hiba community united in spirit.
The FoH often seeks volunteers to help it with the running of it’s annual events. If you would like to get involved with one of these, please sepak to the FoH Chair.
Class Representatives
At the beginning of each school year, the school will select each Class Representative from a list of parent self-nominations. They will be responsible for specific matters of their specific class, assist the class teacher and act as a bridge between home and school. This function gives parents a regular channel to participate in school affairs. And through the class representative's bridging, more parents will be more actively involved in home-class cooperation. The functions of the Class Representative and the FOH Committee are complementary and closely linked, working together for the benefit of the school and the community as a whole.
We thank all Friends of Hiba and Class Reps who have contributed to the pupils, the school, and the community since its founding. We are Hiba and we are together!
