Leadership is a set of mindsets and behaviours that aligns people in a collective direction, enables them to work together, accomplish shared goals, and helps them adjust to changing environments. By serving in influential positions within the school or campus, pupils not only learn important life skills but also prepare for future careers.
At Hiba Academy Nantong, we continually explore new avenues to provide pupils with leadership opportunities. We continually develop programmes and initiatives such as the student council, community engagement, student-led CCA, external activities, house leaders selection, and class leader selection. These initiatives aim to meet the dynamic needs of pupils and prepare them for future challenges.
"It is a great honor to be selected as the Head Girl. I will take on this responsibility and lead my fellow students toward a brighter future!" LYNN YAN, an G11 pupil who was awarded the title of "Head Girl," excitedly shared her thoughts at this week's leadership-themed assembly.
In addition to leading others, we place strong emphasis on self-leadership. Pupils are encouraged to set personal goals, assess their progress, and reflect on their achievements and areas for improvement. This introspective approach helps cultivate self-awareness, resilience, and a proactive mindset.
We believe that through these diverse experiences, our pupils will grow into well-rounded individuals who embody the values of Hiba Academy. Let us come together to support our pupils, plant a seed of leadership, nurture its growth, and look forward to the day when it becomes a towering tree, benefiting generations to come.
