Stephen Hawking, the renowned British theoretical physicist and cosmologist, once said: "Look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see, and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious." 

 

At Hiba Academy Nantong, we firmly believe that the power of education stems from igniting an inner curiosity and thirst for knowledge. Here, we do not merely impart knowledge but also guide pupils to kindle a passion for nature, scientific principles, and the mysteries of the universe.

How do we turn this goal into reality? Let’s take a closer look at what happens in the science classrooms at Hiba.

 

In the 8th grade biology class, pupils wear oximeters on their hands to personally experience the fluctuations in heart rate caused by running and jumping. This not only lets them directly feel the changes in heart rate but also teaches them how to use scientific instruments for data collection and analysis, sparking their interest in delving into the underlying principles.

The science teacher explained that in the field of biology, our goal is to ignite pupils’ curiosity and passion for nature. By deeply understanding organisms and ecosystems, we encourage pupils to think critically and analytically about the biological principles that govern life. Through hands-on experiments and inquiry-based learning methods, we significantly enhance pupils' skills in scientific research, data analysis, and problem-solving. 

 

In chemistry, we strive to inspire pupils’ curiosity and develop their critical thinking skills. We provide a solid foundation of knowledge and practical skills, enabling them to make meaningful contributions to global issues such as climate change. By combining theory with practice, pupils find their passion for problem-solving in the fascinating world of chemistry.
