When Education Goes Beyond the Textbook

We believe that education is more than the sharing of knowledge; it’s about expanding the boundaries of our understanding and imagination. Our carefully designed curriculum integrates the best of Eastern and Western educational traditions, laying a solid academic foundation for every pupil. Through inquiry-based and project-based learning, knowledge is activated, applied and extended. A wide range of subjects, including science, sport, arts, and wellbeing support pupils’ holistic development and character formation. With a pupil-teacher ratio of 1:7, our highly qualified educators provide ample individual attention and support.

We offer endless opportunities for hands-on learning and encourage our pupils to apply what they learn outside the classroom. Along the way, pupils put their knowledge into practice and develop important soft skills. For instance, last weekend, Hiba Academy Nantong partnered with Yixi Youth to host an event called 'Curious Youth, Are You Curious?' Six speakers from different backgrounds shared personal stories about science, the humanities and critical thinking.

Pupils learned from these talks and helped as hosts and media reporters. They built their confidence and teamwork skills through real-world experience.

Exploration

Growth in All Its Forms

At Hiba Academy Nantong, a rich variety of campus activities offers an ongoing feast of exploration, helping pupils discover academic interests and cultivate personal strengths. With over 100 co-curricular activities, regular sports competitions, stage performances and cultural festivals, we encourage free exploration and holistic development. Our state-of-the-art facilities help pupils maximise their potential. Our sports hall and indoor swimming pool are professional competition-grade. We have a 600-seat theatre for major performances. For smaller, more experimental productions, we have a black box theatre and a recording studio. In our design and technology studio, pupils can build practical skills and discover creative pursuits with 3D printers and wood lathes.

Personalised support at our school goes beyond helping pupils discover their interests. Our Higher Education and Careers team offers tailored guidance for each pupil, assisting them in choosing A Level courses that match their aspirations and preparing them for university applications. Events such as Career Days and university fairs expose pupils to a range of academic and career pathways, helping them make informed decisions and build a strong foundation for their future.

Creating Possibilities for the Future

The ultimate aim of education is to enable pupils to engage with a wider world and access a broader range of opportunities. In the 2024–25 academic year, graduates from Wellington College Education (China) schools achieved excellent results. 24% received offers from universities ranked in the top 10 of the QS World Rankings 2025, while nearly 40% secured places at top 20 universities and over 60% gained offers from universities in the top 50. These offers covered a variety of disciplines, including chemistry, medicine, physics, engineering, design and animation.

This year is particularly significant as we prepare to send our first cohort of graduates out into the world later this academic year. After achieving strong results in their recent AS Level examinations, they are moving forward with confidence towards their chosen universities. Hiba Academy Nantong has also enjoyed notable success in the 2024–25 academic year, with pupils excelling in a range of international competitions such as the World Scholars Cup, UK Mathematics Trust challenges, Canadian Chemistry Contest and Singapore Asia-Pacific Mathematical Olympiad. Our pupils have achieved outstanding results across academic, sporting and artistic fields.
