As the new academic year approaches, we’re thrilled to be welcoming 17 new teachers from the UK, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and beyond.
Setting Them Up for Success
To help new staff settle into Nantong, the school has organised a four-week induction and training programme.
The first two weeks covered our Group's core values, curriculum standards, pastoral care, classroom practice and digital systems, along with an introduction to the local community. Our HR team also supported new staff with relocation and settling in.

HR Manager

At Hiba Academy Nantong, we care about supporting every individual. Our colleagues join us from different time zones and educational backgrounds, so our induction covers more than systems and processes—it's about helping people feel at home. We help with relocation and make sure every staff member feels valued and heard. When teachers feel supported, they do their best work, and that benefits every pupil.
Over the next two weeks, teaching staff will work on curriculum delivery, digital platforms and assessment tools, with support from the Wellington College Education (China) academic team.

A Commitment to Excellence
Welcoming 17 new teachers from around the world reflects how seriously we take teaching quality. Through Wellington College Education (China)'s global network, we recruit teachers with strong subject knowledge, proven teaching skills and a shared belief in holistic education.

We want pupils to leave with more than academic knowledge. We want them to be curious, resilient and kind. Our new teachers bring fresh ideas to our school community, and we're looking forward to what they'll bring to our pupils.
We're ready. We can't wait to welcome pupils back for another great year.
